ABOUT KIDLINGTON MOT CENTRE

Kidlington MOT Centre is the dedicated MOT testing service operated by JS Motors Oxford from our long-established Station Field workshop in Kidlington.

JS Motors Oxford is a DVSA approved MOT testing station, providing professional Class 4 MOT testing for cars, vans and qualifying light commercial vehicles.

OVER 50 YEARS OF GARAGE HISTORY

Vehicle servicing and repairs have been carried out from our Station Field site in Kidlington for more than 50 years.

The site originally formed part of the goods yard of Kidlington railway station. Following the closure of the station in 1964, the land was developed into what became the Station Field Industrial Estate.

In 1967, Alan Rushworth and Robert Harbottle acquired the Cleenol Building on the site. The original building was demolished in 1969 and a workshop constructed in its place, parts of which still form the structure of the garage today.

Motor Vehicle Services was founded at the site in 1969 alongside MVS Transport. The workshop provided breakdown assistance, servicing and repairs for Thames Valley Police, the RAC and the AA, as well as local businesses and residents. Its work ranged from routine servicing to major mechanical repairs and engine rebuilds.

The garage continued to operate through several changes of ownership and became an MOT test station. In December 2014, Ben Walker and Eugene Forde, owners of JS Motor Services near Witney, acquired the garage and renamed it JS Motors Oxford.

Following extensive renovation and continued investment, the Station Field site is now a modern, fully equipped garage and MOT testing centre.

Kidlington MOT Centre provides a straightforward way for customers to book MOT testing at the site, while JS Motors Oxford provides the wider workshop support needed if servicing, repairs, diagnostics or other work is required.

Our MOT testers are suitably qualified and undertake the required ongoing MOT tester training and assessment. We aim to make the annual MOT process as straightforward as possible, with convenient appointment times, clear explanations and no work carried out without your agreement.
